Eurobot 2017: Moon village!

Le projet de village lunaire de l’agence spatiale européenne

Depuis toujours la Lune a fasciné les hommes. Notre satellite naturel a une grande influence sur notre planète et nos modes de vie. Sans la Lune, nous n’aurions par exemple quasiment pas de marées. À ce jour seul 12 hommes ont eu la chance de fouler son sol, le dernier il y a plus de 40 ans.

La construction d’une base lunaire permanente permettrait une exploration scientifique plus approfondie de la Lune mais pourrait également servir de base de lancement pour aller vers Mars ou encore plus loin. La faible gravité lunaire facilite les lancements de fusée. Il deviendrait également possible d’exploiter les gisements lunaires de titane, rares et difficiles à exploiter sur notre planète.

En mars 2016, l’ESA (Agence spatiale européenne) a dévoilé son projet de création d’un Moon Village qui serait réalisé d’ici 20 ans. L’objectif est de réaliser en collaboration avec les autres agences spatiales une base avec les matériaux trouvés sur place. Le projet Moon Village serait le premier pas vers l’installation des hommes dans l’espace.

Nous allons participer à cette grande expérience en envoyant nos robots sur la Lune.

Les missions :

  • Extraction et collecte : de nombreuses ressources à collecter sont présentes sur la Lune, extraites de son sol ou rapportées précédemment de la Terre.
  • Base lunaire : à l’aide des modules lunaires apportées depuis la Terre et de ceux déjà présents sur la Lune, les robots construiront un Moon Village.
  • Funny action : lancer un engin spatial pour préparer des vols vers Mars.

After an intense year spent on film sets, the robots take some holidays. Fishing, sandcastles and shells are on the agenda. Before taking the plunge, do not forget to check your flags!

  • The flags: Having arrived on the beach, the flags can be hoisted.
  • The fishing on sea: To insure the dinner, the robots go fishing. How many fish will they catch in their nets?
  • The sandcastle: Who says beach, says sandcastles! At your shovels!
  • The shells: The robots improvise a collection of shells.
  • Stand in the shade: At the end of the match, the robots can open their embedded parasols. ( Funny action)

The spotlight: The robots will have to install them as high as possible in order to illuminate the movie actors.

  • The clapperboard: The robots will have to close their clapperboards.
  • The popcorn: The robots will have to gather popcorn and put it in their popcorn basket.
  • The red carpet: The robots will have to roll out the carpet on the steps in order to welcome the artists.
  • Climbing the red carpet steps: The robots will have to go the top of the steps before the end of the match.

Eurobot 2014 Prehistobot

This year, robots go back in time to discover prehistory! In this hostile environment, they will need to have strategy and courage to complete the tasks that lie ahead…

  • Mammoths: robots can throw as many spears at mammoths as possible
  • Fresco: robots can leave their footprints in history
  • Picking fruits: robots can collect as many fruits as possible
  • Fire conquest: robots can take over fires
  • Capture mammoths: robots can capture a mammoth at the end of the match

Eurobot 2013 Happy Birthday!

This year, robots want to celebrate their birthday in an unforgettable way. For this purpose, a set of actions will be proposed in order to score as many points as possible with their guests.

  • The gifts: robots must unwrap the gifts in order to reveal its content.
  • The candles: robots must blow out as many candles as possible (and cooperate to blow even more candles).
  • The fruit juice fountain: robots must serve drinks to the guests.
  • The cherries on the cake: robots must put as many cherries as possible on the top of the cake. Beware of the rotten cherries!
  • The party: at the end of the game, stationary robots can blow up embedded balloons.

Eurobot 2012 Treasure Island

Robots are pirates ! To win the contest, robots have to:

  • Bottles in the sea: The robots have to discover the messages sent in bottles.
  • The treasure map: The robots must retrieve the map that shows the way to the treasure.
  • The treasure of the island: each robot must bring as many gold bars and coins as possible back to their ship.
